Importing Traditional Turkmen rugs

My company is considering an import operation for traditional handmade rugs/carpets from Turkmenistan. Apart of the labelling regulations, is there any other requirements which need to be covered in terms of documentation etc
The product is not antique in this case

You will need to classify the goods accurately to obtain the correct commodity code for the goods and this should be listed on the import invoice. If you have the composition of the materials used to make the rugs (i.e cotton, wool or silk) you can easily select the correct commodity code using the gov website: ensuring you select ‘handmade’ within the category. Duty rates can vary from 3.5% to 8% depending on the classification.
